Abstract | Blockchain technology has gained the most attention in connection with cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin and Ethereum. However, its true potential extends far beyond cryptocurrencies, with the ability to transform industries such as education, voting, healthcare, and agriculture. Not long ago, Bitcoin and blockchain were often used interchangeably by people worldwide. But as understanding of the technology has grown over the past few years, the distinction between blockchain and cryptocurrency has become clearer, with more practical non-crypto blockchain applications emerging. |
