Supply Chain Management Practices in FMCG Sector with Respect to Andhra Pradesh Selected Cities

Abstract | This article reviews supply chain management in the FMCG sector in Andhra Pradesh. Emphasis on procurement strategies, inventory management, reverse logistics, and other sustainable practices being adapted by companies engaged in FMCG goods distribution business within cities and semi-urban centers of AP will be undertaken. Further, the effects of changes in regulations, such as the introduction of Goods and Services Tax (GST), have been given special attention vis-à-vis supply chain efficiency and resilience. The paper carries case studies from Rayalaseema and other key cities that provide valuable insight into the emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities that FMCG companies are likely to face in the near future. It also examines the ongoing digital transformation-a role of AI, big data analytics, and advanced logistics-at optimizing the FMCG supply chains. The insights drawn from this research contribute to a clear view of the supply chain performance dynamics in regional markets, with actionable strategies on improving operational effectiveness for FMCG industries. |
