| Abstract | Background: COVID-19 has been increasingly associated with vascular complications due to hypercoagulability and systemic inflammation. Multi-modality imaging plays an essential role in their detection. Objectives: To determine the incidence of vascular complications in hospitalised COVID-19 patients, evaluate the usage of multi-modality vascular imaging, identify the major vascular pathologies, and ascertain their systemic distribution. Methods: A retrospective analysis was carried out on hospitalised COVID-19 positive patients who underwent vascular imaging. Data regarding the total number of patients, type of imaging modalities performed, vascular abnormalities detected, and their systemic distribution were collected and analysed. Results: The study demonstrates the proportion of COVID-19 patients developing vascular complications, with multi-modality imaging frequently utilised to evaluate thromboembolic and other vascular events. The findings outline the major complications identified and their systemic distribution across different vascular territories. Conclusion: Vascular complications are an important clinical manifestation in hospitalised COVID-19 patients. Multi-modality radiological imaging serves as a critical tool in early detection and comprehensive evaluation, thereby aiding in timely management and improved patient outcomes. |
