| Abstract | Nanostructured materials have been fascinating the area of science and technology in the last twenty years because of their tremendous possibilities in forming novel shapes, structures and the unusual phenomena associated with these materials. Because of versatile and unique chemical and physical properties, there is a very crucial use of carbon-based nanomaterials in the scientific era of nanotechnology. The theoretical and experimental study of the two-dimensional (2D) structure of single sheet of graphite, known as graphene, is an extremely growing area in materials science and condensed matter physics. Due to the extraordinary properties of graphene, it has revealed an outstanding material and potential applications. This paper highlights the structure, properties, formation of graphene and its applications in different fields. |
