| Abstract | The landscape of assisted reproductive technology (ART) has undergone a paradigm shift with the emergence of vitrification, a revolutionary cryopreservation technique for embryos. Unlike the limitations of slow-freezing methods, which plagued embryo survival with ice crystal formation and reduced viability, vitrification harnesses the power of rapid cooling and cryoprotectants to solidify embryos into a glass-like state, dramatically boosting survival rates and pregnancy outcomes. This article delves into the scientific principles, clinical applications, and future trajectory of vitrification, highlighting its profound impact on reproductive healthcare and societal perspectives on family planning. |
