Abstract Autonix is an Android-based mobile application that enhances road safety by providing affordable and non-intrusive driver assistance to everyday vehicle users. Built with modern Android development frameworks and machine learning techniques, the system enables real-time drowsiness detection through facial analysis and crash detection using motion sensors. The application monitors driver alertness by analyzing eye closure patterns, blink rates, and facial fatigue indicators, while simultaneously tracking vehicle movements through the phone's accelerometer and gyroscope. Upon detecting critical events such as prolonged drowsiness or sudden impacts, Autonix triggers multi-level alerts, logs event data locally, and can notify emergency contacts if the driver becomes unresponsive. By eliminating the need for expensive hardware and operating entirely through smartphone sensors, Autonix democratizes intelligent driver assistance technology, making advanced safety features accessible to users of regular vehicles while promoting proactive accident prevention and rapid emergency response.
