Abstract | This research explores the role of rural education in promoting economic empowerment among SC/ST communities in remote areas of Bhopal and Sehore districts, Madhya Pradesh. Education is recognized as a key driver of socio-economic development, and this study examines how educational initiatives affect the economic well-being of these marginalized groups. The study assesses access to education, quality of schooling, and learning outcomes in districts, highlighting similarities and differences in their educational landscapes. Data was collected through surveys, interviews, and discussions with community members, teachers, and local leaders. Findings indicate that Sehore district shows slightly better educational infrastructure and economic indicators compared to Bhopal. However, both districts face common challenges such as limited educational facilities and cultural barriers, which restrict the economic empowerment of SC/ST communities. The research concludes that rural education is crucial for economic upliftment but stresses the need for targeted interventions and policy reforms to reduce disparities. Recommendations are provided to improve educational access and economic opportunities for SC/ST populations in both districts. |
