| Abstract | Amid volatility and digital interdependence, communication quality has emerged as a strategic capability in supply-chain management (SCM). This paper positions "empathy", the capacity to understand and respond to partner perspectives, as a core element of effective communication that fosters trust, collaboration, and performance. Drawing on social-exchange, stakeholder, and dynamic-capabilities theories, it introduces the Empathy–Communication–Collaboration (ECC) Framework, illustrating through global and Indian cases how empathy-driven, technology-enabled communication enhances resilience, innovation, and sustainable value creation in modern supply chains. |
