| Abstract | The article “Bride, Betrayal & Bloodbath: Marriage Ceremony or Murder Conspiracy?” examines shocking cases in India where brides turned from partners to perpetrators, exposing how love and marriage can mask pre-planned murders. Through case studies like the Meghalaya Honeymoon, Meerut Drum, and Bijnor Job Murder, it explores motives such as financial greed, forced marriage, and mental health issues. The piece also highlights legal loopholes, misuse of protective laws, and weak forensic systems, urging for gender-neutral justice, stronger investigation mechanisms, and better mental health support to prevent such tragic transformations of marital trust into betrayal. |
