| Abstract | Cloud computing requires strong data security mechanisms to protect information stored and transmitted over the internet. Cryptography plays a vital role in ensuring data confidentiality by transforming readable data into an unreadable format for unauthorized users. This paper presents a secure data transmission method using DNA Cryptography, which leverages biological DNA structures for encryption and decryption. The proposed approach employs a hybrid encryption technique that converts plaintext into ASCII and binary form, maps binary values to DNA base pairs, and applies complementary rules. A 24-set complementary rule is used to generate color palettes from the encrypted DNA sequence, which further aids in secure key generation. The decrypting key is derived from these color palettes and shared with the receiver to retrieve the original data. This multi-layered DNA-based cryptographic method enhances data security in cloud environments by increasing complexity and resistance to attacks. |
