| Abstract | Biosensors have transformed the monitoring of human health and environmental conditions by allowing for real-time, non-invasive identification of markers and contaminants. This review consolidates perspectives from significant studies regarding wearable biosensors, their sustainable design, and their extensive effects on healthcare and public health. We examine advancements in materials science, the incorporation of AI, and techniques for single-molecule detection while discussing different types, manufacturing processes, applications in managing chronic diseases, fitness monitoring, environmental surveillance, and challenges such as durability and data privacy. Future developments highlight the importance of eco-friendly materials, hybrid systems, and personalized medicine to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals. |
