| Abstract | Traditional HR appraisal systems are day-by-day appears to be inadequate in addressing the dynamic needs of modern workplaces. Annual reviews and subjective evaluations often fail to capture real-time performance, resulting in disengagement and limited developmental impact. Emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and gamification are reshaping performance management by enhancing objectivity, personalization, and employee engagement. AI-driven appraisal systems provide data-based insights, predictive analytics, and tailored feedback, reducing bias and enabling proactive talent management. Meanwhile, gamification introduces interactive elements such as points, badges, and leaderboards, fostering motivation, recognition, and skill development. Together, AI and gamification create a synergistic appraisal ecosystem that integrates continuous feedback with engaging mechanisms, aligning employee growth with organizational goals. However, these innovations also present challenges, including algorithmic bias, privacy concerns, and the risk of oversimplifying complex performance metrics. This paper explores the integration of AI and gamification in HR appraisals, highlighting their benefits, limitations, and implications for the future of work. By examining current trends and potential ethical considerations, the study underscores the importance of balancing technological efficiency with human-centered HR practices. |
