| Abstract | This research paper critically evaluates the philosophy of Dr BR Ambedkar. Further, it focuses on the idea of social justice, caste abolition, democracy, and even gender equality. Dr B. R. Ambedkar is one of the most eminent intellectual figures of the modern world and one of the greatest personalities of our independence struggle. He was a great Economist, Philosopher, Historian, Lawyer, Politician and Scholar per excellence and a very good Professor. He played a key role in viewing the structure of the government and the form of the Constitution. He is one of the very few Indian Statesmen and was the first and foremost leader of the depressed classes. The struggle of the depressed classes for Human Rights and Socio-Political equality from the twenties of the 20th Century is woven around his name being elected as Chairman of the Drafting Committee. The paper enforces that his philosophy is not just historical but offers a transformative framework which addresses the present-day social inequalities in our societies. |
