| Abstract | The rapid expansion of digital payment systems has transformed financial behaviour, particularly among college students. While these technologies enhance convenience and accessibility, they also increase exposure to cyber threats such as phishing and financial fraud. This study examines cyber hygiene awareness and digital payment safety practices among 120 undergraduate students using a structured survey approach. The findings reveal high adoption of digital payment platforms but only moderate awareness of cybersecurity practices, with limited use of critical measures such as two-factor authentication. The study highlights a gap between digital usage and security behaviour, emphasizing the need for structured cybersecurity education. Strengthening cyber hygiene among students is essential for ensuring safe digital transactions and enhancing the resilience of the digital financial ecosystem. |
