| Abstract | Karnataka, one of India’s rapidly transforming states, presents a unique sociological landscape shaped by economic modernization, urbanization, political democratization, and cultural continuity. This research article explores the changing social structures of contemporary Karnataka society, focusing on transformations in family, caste, class, religion, gender relations, education, and occupational patterns. Through secondary data analysis and sociological interpretation, the study reveals how traditional social institutions are being restructured under the influence of globalization, industrialization, digitalization, and state policies. While traditional values continue to shape social behavior, emerging institutions and social relations are redefining social mobility, identity, and power relations in Karnataka. The paper concludes that Karnataka society today reflects a complex coexistence of tradition and modernity. |
