| Abstract | Access to timely health care ultrasound imaging remains a pertinent healthcare debacle in agrowing industry, particularly in low and middle income countries such as India, whereradiologists and high-cost hospital ultrasound equipment are largely concentrated in urbancenters. This paper presents an AI enabled, low cost portable ultrasound screening frameworkdesigned for the use by non-specialist health workers in resource-constrained environments. The system performs automatic multi-organ screening covering pregnancy, lung, liver, kidney, and gallbladder pathologies using organ-specific binary classifiers based on deepconvolutional neural networks (CNNs) and transfer learning. |
