This study examines the socio-economic and environmental impacts of aqua tourism in Vypin Island, Ernakulam district, Kerala, with special reference to the Njarakkal and Malippuram Aqua Tourism Centres. The research assesses the benefits of aqua tourism in terms of income generation, employment opportunities, and support for local businesses, while also examining community participation, sustainability concerns, and infrastructure challenges. Primary data were collected from 30 respondents comprising local residents and visitors through structured questionnaires, supplemented by secondary data from journals, books, and online sources.
