Gender Differences in Response to a Structured Art-Based Activities Programme: Effects on Self-Esteem and Anxiety Among Institutionalised Adolescents

Abstract	This paper investigates gender differences in response to a structured art-based intervention among institutionalised adolescents. Despite females reporting higher baseline anxiety, both genders experienced comparable improvements in self-esteem and anxiety. The findings provide evidence that structured art-based activities are effective across genders and support their wider integration into mental health programmes for adolescents living in residential care.
