Technical and aesthetic limitations in legacy extrusion blow molding systems for plastic lube containers: challenges in sustainability and design modernization

Author(s) Ms. Apoorva Vijay Tiwatane, Prof. Amit A Desai
Country India
Abstract India’s robust industrial sector, with its rapid growth in lubricant consumption, has fueled a substantial demand for plastic lube containers, most of which are supplied by government-owned entities. While sustainability has recently emerged as a prominent concern, the equally significant challenge of design inflexibility in these legacy systems continues to limit modernization. In addressing the future of lube container manufacturing, both design and sustainability must be closely examined, as advancements in either are fundamentally linked.
