Decoding Linguistic and Cultural Labyrinths: A Phenomenological Encoding–Decoding Framework for Translation

Abstract	This paper argues that existing equivalence-oriented approaches, while valuable in explaining certain aspects of translational practice, do not sufficiently account for the dynamic interaction between linguistic structures, cultural matrices, intentional consciousness, and interpretive cognition that characterizes the translator's work. The study therefore proposes a phenomenological framework that conceptualizes translation as a multi-stage process involving authorial encoding, translatorial decoding, hermeneutic interpretation, translatorial re-encoding, and readerly decoding.
