| Abstract | This project focuses on the development and analysis of an eco-friendly and heat-resistant composite panel using fly ash as the primary insulating material. The panel consists of three layers, with cement sheets forming the outer layers and a middle layer composed of fly ash, wood dust, coconut fibres, and Araldite epoxy adhesive. The main objective of the study is to reduce heat transfer while maintaining adequate mechanical strength and durability. Experimental investigations and thermal analyses were carried out under both normal and forced heating conditions to evaluate the panel's performance. Numerical analysis and ANSYS simulations were also used to study the thermal behaviour of the composite material. The results indicate that the proposed composite panel provides significantly better thermal insulation than conventional concrete panels, reducing heat transfer by approximately 73%. The use of industrial waste materials such as fly ash and natural fibres contributes to environmental sustainability while lowering production costs. Owing to its lightweight structure, fire resistance, and excellent insulating properties, the developed composite panel has potential applications in building construction, industrial heat barriers, wall insulation, roofing systems, and thermal protection systems. This project demonstrates an effective, economical, and sustainable solution for modern thermal insulation requirements. |
