Smart blind navigation stick for visually impaired people using AI detection

| Abstract | The proposed system is an AI-based smart blind navigation stick, which is designed to assist visually impaired people in safe and independent walking. The system incorporates a camera module to ensure the presence of live image input and uses AI techniques to identify traffic lights and nearby obstacles. It is a system which is able to measure the distance of objects near individual using ultrasonic sensor and enable individual to avoid colliding with the objects. The GPS module helps to track the location and the blue tooth one helps to communicate with a smartphone for navigation assistance. Furthermore, there is also GSM module that can give an alert to the preprogrammed contact persons in case of emergency by sending the location information. This comprehensive solution makes the user safe, increases mobility and decreases the need to rely on others, making it a dependable assistive |
