| Abstract | India's vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047, known as "Viksit Bharat 2047," requires sustained economic growth, strategic international partnerships, and robust diplomatic engagement. Trade diplomacy has emerged as a critical instrument in achieving national development goals by promoting exports, attracting foreign investment, facilitating technology transfer, and strengthening economic resilience. This paper examines the role of trade diplomacy in India's developmental journey and evaluates the opportunities and challenges associated with achieving Viksit Bharat 2047. The study relies on secondary data from government reports, international organizations, and scholarly publications. The findings suggest that effective trade diplomacy, supported by strategic alliances, digital transformation, and sustainable development initiatives, can significantly contribute to India's emergence as a developed economy. |
