| Abstract | This study assessed the implementation of e-government systems in business services and its relationship with administrative efficiency in selected barangays in Cebu City, specifically Barangay Bacayan, Barangay San Nicolas, and Barangay Mambaling, during calendar year 2025. It sought to determine the relevant profile of the respondents and the types of business services supported through digital or e-government systems; assess the perceived level of e-government system implementation in terms of digitalization, utility and functionality, system reliability, system efficiency, user satisfaction, and accessibility; determine the perceived level of administrative efficiency in terms of administrative processes, timeliness and speed of service delivery, accuracy and reliability of information management, accessibility and convenience, responsiveness, and transparency and accountability; identify implementation issues and concerns; and develop a Barangay E-Government Roadmap for Business Services based on the findings. The study employed a quantitative-descriptive and correlational research design, supported by qualitative responses concerning implementation challenges and recommended improvements. A total of 120 barangay officials and administrative personnel, with 40 respondents from each selected barangay, were included through purposive sampling based on their direct involvement in barangay administration and e-government-related business services. Data were gathered using a researcher-made questionnaire and analyzed using frequency, percentage, weighted mean, standard deviation, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation, and multiple linear regression. The study focused on actual experiences with digital business-service transactions during calendar year 2025. The findings are expected to provide localized evidence on the implementation of e-government systems and their association with administrative efficiency and to identify technological, human-resource, financial, accessibility, data-security, and organizational concerns. The resulting roadmap is intended to guide improvements in digital business services, administrative processes, accessibility, responsiveness, transparency, and citizen-centered barangay governance. |
