| Abstract | This study examined the relationship between teachers’ instructional quality and job-related stress in selected public elementary schools in the Schools Division of Tanjay City during School Year 2026–2027 as a basis for a Teacher Stress Reduction Plan. Specifically, it described the respondents’ demographic profiles, assessed job-related stress in terms of job-related factors, role-related factors, workplace relationships, career development, organizational structure and climate, and home-work interface, determined instructional quality in terms of professional behavior, instructional strategies, and assessment and results, and tested the significant relationship between the two variables. The study employed a quantitative descriptive-correlational research design involving 75 teacher-respondents. Data were gathered using structured survey questionnaires and analyzed through frequency, percentage, weighted mean, and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation. The illustrative findings indicated a very high level of self-perceived instructional quality (M = 4.27) and a high degree of job-related stress (M = 3.77). Professional behavior obtained the highest instructional quality rating, while job-related factors and home-work interface emerged as the leading stress dimensions. Correlation analysis indicated a significant negative relationship between instructional quality and job-related stress (r = -0.342, p = 0.003). The study emphasizes the importance of managing occupational stress while sustaining instructional effectiveness. Accordingly, a Teacher Stress Reduction Plan was proposed to strengthen workload management, promote work-life balance, enhance organizational support, and sustain instructional quality. |
