Abstract The E-Gram Panchayat project is aimed at digitizing the operations of village Panchayats to improve governance and service delivery in rural areas. Traditionally, villagers face challenges in accessing local government services and staying informed about ongoing developments. This project introduces a mobile application for villagers and a web platform for Panchayat officials to bridge the gap between citizens and the local government. The app allows villagers to easily submit service requests, track complaints, and stay updated on government schemes, while the website serves as the administrative tool for Panchayat officials to manage requests, communicate with villagers, and monitor the status of services.
This system is designed to enhance transparency, efficiency, and citizen engagement in local governance. It aims to reduce the dependency on paper-based systems and ensure timely resolution of requests by providing real-time tracking and updates. The app and website are seamlessly integrated to ensure smooth communication and data management. By introducing digital tools, this project also seeks to promote digital literacy in rural communities, empowering villagers to access government services and information with ease. The E-Gram Panchayat project ultimately aims to make local governance more accessible, transparent, and efficient, fostering a stronger connection between rural citizens and their Panchayats.
