Abstract Bridges connect regions by overcoming natural obstacles, and their design blends structural science, technology, and aesthetics, with bridge piers playing a vital role in stability, durability, and sustainability. This study compares RCC and PSC piers under identical conditions and finds PSC piers superior in load capacity, crack control, deflection, and long-term performance, making them more suitable for modern bridges.
Keywords Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC), Prestressed Concrete (PSC), CSI Bridge.
