Or the act of conveying one's inner thoughts through a higher medium is called a messenger.
In this study, the political messenger in Kamparamayanam and Villibharatam, its effects, uses and manifestations have been studied.
In Kambaramayana, Angada sent a message to Ravana on behalf of Rama. Ravana got angry and chased Angada away. Similarly, Hanuman, as per Rama's words, meets Sita in the Ashoka forest in Lanka, and tells her about Rama's welfare and that Rama will soon come to rescue Sita.
Later, he meets Ravana and sends a message to Ravana asking him to release Sita, and if he does not release her, Rama will wage war and destroy her. Ravana refuses this too and faces the war.
In Villi Bharata, Vidura, Uluka, Sanjaya Mudala and Kannabira send a political message. Through this message, the Pandavas try to prevent the Kurukshetra War from taking place. However, due to Durya's arrogance, the war becomes unavoidable.
This study examines the political message conveyed in both epics, its use for the purpose of the epic, the political principles followed, and the results of the message.
