Abstract This paper presents a comparative entropy analysis of widely used symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms. Entropy, a measure of randomness, is critical for determining the unpredictability and security of encryption schemes. We evaluate the entropy of cipher texts, keys, and related parameters across AES, DES, ChaCha20, RSA, ECC, and DSA. The analysis demonstrates that high entropy correlates with secure encryption, while weak entropy often indicates vulnerability.
